Central New York Mensa's next local testing session will be Saturday, April 26, 2008.
There are two ways to become a Mensa member. One can qualify on the basis of prior evidence (a qualifying score on any of a large number of recognized tests), or on the basis of the Mensa Admissions Test. The test takes approximately two hours and includes questions involving logic and deductive reasoning. The test fee is $40. The test is not valid for people under the age of 14. An individual who scores at or above the 98th percentile is eligible for Mensa membership.
Anyone interested in taking the next test should contact Central New York Mensa test proctor Frank Laifer. Mr. Laifer may be reached by e-mail at testing@cny.us.mensa.org, by phone at (315) 458-9097, or by mail at 203 Brookhaven Road, North Syracuse, New York 13212. Mr. Laifer will mail or e-mail interested parties an application form and directions to the testing site.

The usual test site for our local testing sessions is the Air National Guard base at 6001 E. Molloy Road in Mattydale, New York.
The completed application form and testing fee must be received by Mr. Laifer on or before ten business days before the test date.
